Bulk Quantities

Bulk quantity pricing includes processing and local delivery. Note that each package and cut varies in size with the varying sizes of the cattle. Custom cutting is available upon request depending on when cattle are taken in for processing. Bulk quantities include a variety of steaks, roasts, ribs, brisket, stew meat, and ground beef.  

 

For storage purposes: the rule of thumb is one cubic foot of freezer space for every 35 – 40 pounds of packaged meat. 

Whole Cow

Whole beef requires 16-17 cubic feet of cold storage; this should fit in a standard 17-21 cubic foot chest freezer. The average final package weight is around 440-520 pounds. Because we vacuum seal everything, when stored correctly this will keep the meat fresh for years.

Cow

Half beef requires approximately 8 cubic feet of cold storage; this should fit in a standard 9 cubic foot chest freezer. The average final package weight is around 220-260 pounds. Because we vacuum seal everyting, when stored correctly this will keep the meat fresh for years.

Quarter Cow

Quarter beef requires approximately 4 cubic feet of cold storage; this should fit in a standard 5-7 cubic foot chest freezer. Average final package weight is 100-130 pounds. Because we vacuum seal everything, when stored correctly this will keep the meat fresh for years.

Currently Available Quarters: 

Our regular processor, Innovative Foods, experienced a fire on April 17th which resulted in the loss of 2 of our carcasses that we took in the beginning of April. We have made arrangements with other processors for this year until Innovative Foods is able to rebuild.

Quarters and halves are available now from steers we took to Rick's Processing on September 2nd. Email me if you are interested since a limited supply is available.
